RCC launching one of the largest Cement Silos in the region.

RCC has recently launched the Multi-rooms new Silo at Raysut Cement Company, Salalah. The storing capability of such new Silo is 20,000 Tons. It is considered as one of the largest cement Silos in the region with a diameter of 30 metres and 43 metres high.
It contains three rooms with varied storing capacity ranging between 12,000- 3,000 tons for each room respectively. Three types of Cement are stored in such a new Silo. Portland ordinary Cement, Sulphate resistant Cement, Oil Well Cement along with two units for the loading of the bulk Cement. Each unit has been designed to deliver 300 tons/hour. It’s to be noted that, weight bridges have been constructed under the Silo to facilitate the direct weighing to reduce the waiting time for bulk Cement packing.
In addition, to the above mentioned, this new Silo shall provide the proposed packing plant with Cement with a capacity of 150 tons/hour. It’s expected to complete the project of the packing terminal accompanying the Silo in the fourth quarter of the current year.
This terminal has the ability to handle the different types of loading and packing for both the local and external Markets.
The Silo project and the accompanying loading services shall secure the continuous provision of Cement to the local and external Markets of the Company. It also reduces the waiting time for the trucks, in addition to the possibility to load a big number of trucks, at the same time with Cement.
