Opening of the extension project of Psychiatric health section at Sultan Qaboos Hospital

The extension and development project of Psychiatric health section has been recently opened with the support of Raysut Cement Company under the auspice of H.E Shaikh Salim bin Awfait Al –Shanfari Chairman Dhofar Municipality with the presence of Mr. Ahmed bin Yousuf bin Alawi Chairman board of Directors- RCC and a number of officials from the ministry of health.
Welcoming and thanking speeches were given for the support provided for the section extension. RCC has been awarded, then opening ribbon was cut and a site tour was made to be aware of the project details. The development project has included the structure of a plastic roof to protect patients from heat and rain, a hall for Psychological treatment sessions, 4 admission rooms, a small sports hall as well as a patient rest house. In addition to the equipment’s including room furnishing, providing the sports hall and the rest house with tools, equipment and electrical items.
This project is a part of the role and social initiatives of the RCC achieved to support and fund the projects and the programs of the social responsibility. The project is also a part of the Company’s efforts aiming to enhance its contribution in supporting and developing the local community.
