Raysut Cement Signs USD 45 Million Exclusive Distribution Agreement with Barwaaqo Cement in Somalia, Aligned with Oman Vision 2040 and Net Zero 2050 Goals

In a major stride that reflects its regional leadership and long-term growth vision, Raysut Cement Company SAOG announced the signing of an Exclusive Distribution Agreement with Barwaaqo Cement Company LLC, based in Mogadishu, Republic of Somalia, to supply high-quality cement to the Somali market.

The agreement, signed on 9 November 2025, carries an estimated annual value of USD 45 million and will remain in effect until 14 September 2026.

This new partnership comes as part of Raysut Cement’s long-term expansion strategy to strengthen its presence in East African markets and boost exports of high-quality Omani cement. It is fully aligned with Oman Vision 2040, which aims to diversify the national economy and increase the contribution of the industrial sector to the Sultanate’s GDP. This partnership also reinforces Raysut Cement’s role as a key exporter of Omani industrial excellence to international markets.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Raashid Ali, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Raysut Cement Company SAOG, stated: “This agreement represents a significant milestone in our journey to expand Raysut Cement’s footprint beyond borders.
